i teach good

Power to the people, folks...power to the people. Consumer interest has now sunk to the University level, where students can anonymously rate their professors. I, being not quite a professor but nonetheless subject to such public scrutiny, went to RateMyProfessor and took a peek.

On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best, I got a 3 for "easiness" (whatever the hell that means), a 5 for "helpfulness", a 5 for "clarity" and a 3 for "rater interest". That last one is a bit ambiguous, too. Interest...in me? In my fashion sense? In Spanish? In global warming? What?

The rater said of me:
"Nate is very interested in making sure you learn. He goes out of his way to accommodate your situation if you need extra help. He clearly sets up his expectations for you and if you follow them you will get an A. Attendance is important!"

I also got a little chili pepper icon next to my name, which means I am hot.

professorally yours (in a hot way)
